January 1, 2015, New Year Day, was even sweeter this year as it was also our beloved Amma’s birth star, Karthika. We began the new year with Karthika celebration. The celebration started with Amma’s Dhyanaslokam. Children decorated the mandapam with flowers. Jyothika J. of VII B chanted Amma’s ashtotharam followed by bhajans sung by the school prayer group. Arjun A. of VII C played the tabala along with the bhajans .The pooja concluded with the singing of the arathi and Shanti Mantras. Ganga E., a teacher from the Malayalam Department, read Amma’s New Year message, which was very inspiring.
