Swami Vivekananda’s 153rd birth anniversary was celebrated with due respect on January 12, 2016. Swami Vivekananda, the patriot saint of modern India and a beacon light for thousands of youth, inspired young Indians with his magically impressive words.
As part of the celebration, various programmes were conducted on that day. Speeches, quiz programmes, etc. were held during the morning assembly. Students also took part in an on-line essay writing competition.
“Onward forever! Sympathy for the poor, the downtrodden, even unto death- this is our motto”. Swamiji’s famous call to the youth of India did not merely come from his lips, but from the depths of his soul.
