Raksha Bandhan, or Rakhi, is an auspicious Hindu festival celebrating the unbreakable and special bond between siblings. The festival falls annually on the Poornima Tithi (full moon day) of Shravan Maas (Sawan month). On this day, brothers and sisters celebrate each other by performing various rituals.
KG students of our school celebrated Rakshabandhan on August 21, 2023 by tying rakhi on each other’s hands. Then the class teacher shared the significance of Rakshabandhan and the bonding between brothers and sisters. The students understood the moral of the eternal brother-sister relationship, which does not only mean blood relationship.
