“Thank you Amma for 70 years of torrential grace!!!”
The 70th birthday celebrations of our beloved Amma! Amma has dedicated her life to the service of humanity, spreading love, compassion, and wisdom to millions across the globe. As part of Amritavarsham 70, a special prayer was conducted in the morning assembly on September 27, 2023. Ashtothara archana was offered at the lotus feet of Amma, and bhajans and
prayers were conducted with great devotion and reverence in the ashram hall. The bhajans concluded with payasam distribution to all present. Teachers distributed vegetable seeds to students for making vegetable gardens at home, and students planted tree saplings in various areas of the village.
On 3rd October 2023, Amma’s birthday was celebrated at Amritapuri. As part of Amma’s Saptati, various programs were held. With the infinite grace of Amma, our children performed a semi-classical dance “Sreepadmanabham” as guru dakshina on the stage as part of Amritavarsham 70 at Amritapuri. The introduction to our semi-classical dance performance was as follows-
“Sree Padmanabha, the Protector of the Universe, one who dwells in the lotus heart of sages, destroyer of sins, whose eyes brim with compassion and protects every living being. Sree Padmanabha paahi…composed by Sri Swathi Thirunal, praising the deity is gracefully presented here by Amma’s children of Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta, at the lotus feet of AMMA.”
Representatives from all over the world had gathered at Amritapuri, signifying the message of compassion and unity. At the end of the celebrations, Amrita prasadam was distributed.
