In recognition of World Pest Day on June 6th, our science department hosted a special interview with local farmer Mr. Vijayan to learn about the importance of pest management in agriculture. The interview conducted by the students from classes VI and VII explored various topics, including:
- The impact of pests on crops
- Sustainable pest management practices
- Use of organic fertilizers and manures
The interactive session concluded with questions and answers where students had the opportunity to ask Mr. Vijayan about his experience and the future of pest management in agriculture. The day proved to be a valuable experience for our students. It raised awareness about the crucial role of pest management in ensuring food security and sustainability.
