From the first day of Karkidakam, we embarked on our Ramayana Month celebrations. This year, Ramayana Masam began on July 16 and concluded on August 16.
Each morning, students read and explained portions of the Ramayana at school. Videos of these readings and explanations were shared in all class groups. To kick off the celebrations, LKG and UKG students dressed up as characters from the Ramayana. Primary class students watched videos of Ramayana stories and displayed these stories on the notice board.
The concluding day featured a variety of activities such as a Ramayana quiz, Ekashloki Ramayana dance performance, a discussion on female characters in the Ramayana, a Ramayana recitation competition, a drawing competition, speech competitions, and character presentations by students of classes I and II. These events brought the Ramayana Month to a vibrant and educational close.
