Krishna Janmashtami is a joyous festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, believed to be the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. As Krishna was born on the eighth day (Ashtami) of Krishna Paksha during the Rohini Nakshatra, Krishna Janmashtami embodies the spirit of life, love, and devotion.
On 23rd August 2024, we celebrated Sree Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm. The event commenced with Amma’s Dhyana Sloka, followed by a vibrant display of tradition as students from KG and classes I and II dressed up as Radha and Krishna. The program featured captivating group dances, and it concluded with the much-anticipated house-wise Uriyadi (pot-breaking) competition. The event was filled with joy and colour, and Anandamayi House emerged victorious in the Uriyadi competition.
