The 64th Republic Day was celebrated with due respect. The students of Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta, took part in the Republic Day celebration at the Municipal Stadium Pathanamthitta.
The young talented students of our school claimed Second position in the Cultural Programmes.
The programme titled ‘Vande Madaram’ proudly displayed Kerala’s tradition and culture. Kerala Nadanam, Kerala’s own dance form performed by the young talented artists adds more colours to the programme. It not only arose patriotic feeling in one’s mind, but also one’s respect towards motherland.
Yoga, which uplifts the body and mind, performed by the talented boys created vibrations in the whole atmosphere.
Punjabi dance was another highlight of this programme. Students dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Jhansi Rani, Bhagat Singh and Unni Archa made the on lookers to remember our freedom fighters.
About 200 students and teachers participated in the programme. The celebration was inaugurated by the honorable Health Minister Sri Siva Kumar. The students proudly received the trophy from the honorable minister.
