Vidyut-14, the three days National Level Techno Multifest, which was hosted by Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham, gave a platform for students across the country to show case their talents through technically challenging and mind–boggling events. It gave chance to students to learn, apply and enjoy science and technology and also provided ample opportunities to build one’s personal skills through its unique workshop.

The three days fest was inaugurated on January 30th 2014.”Aagneya-The Science Exhibition”, created a halo of a smart village, to gave an idea to the people about the various techniques that can be employed in order to make life in better.

More than 30 students and teachers of Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta, got the golden opportunity to take part in the fest.

The highlights of Vidyut-14 were Photo Exhibition, 3D show, A fun room with Kinetic motion controlled games, Hands-on models of Napier scale, hands-on models of Abacus, Robo exhibits Life size art of Google maps cars etc.

Other than this, the contest which attracted the attention of a number of participants was “Hydro Arm”, where the contestants had to design by applying “Pascal’s Law”. “Grid Master” was another robot contest highlighted on the closing day.

From the prio villa, students came to know about the conservation of water and water management. The machine villa was both entertaining and enthusiastic. The highlight was the “wheel chair” and a “Robot”.

The use of “Solar Panels” and the maximum utilization of solar energy were much interesting. “Robo-war” and “Robo socrer” provided much fun and enthusiasm. 3D games and motion games was much interesting for the students. Vidyut-14, the national level multi fest ended on February 01, 2014.
