INAUGURATION OF AYUDH

AYUDH is the youth wing of Embracing the World, a global network of charitable activities created by Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi).

The objective of the Youth group is to focus on the all-round development of our personality, which also includes fulfilling one’s spiritual needs along with our physical, mental, and intellectual needs. Normally we always neglect our spiritual needs and just focus on the other three.  AYUDH tries to make the younger generation aware of the importance of spirituality in one’s day-to-day life, and about the importance of assimilating and putting positive values into practice.

Ayudh started its activities in Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta this August. This thought was conceived and brought into effect by our beloved Brahmacharini Sethuji and Manikantan Sir. This thought was embraced by all the students who volunteered to be a part of it.

The Ayudh movement was formally inaugurated on 4th September 2014, by Bri Bhavyamrita Chaitanya, whose divine presence and blessings have always been there for our school. The ceremony was also blessed with the presence of our Sethu ji, Manikantan Sir, Mr. Anil, District Karyavaahi, Mr. Anish and many others. All the student Ayudh members were also present along with the teachers in charge.

Students of Class VIII and IX welcomed Bri Bhavyamrita Chaitanya with Valla Pattu and flowers.

Mrs. Sumangala, our vice-principal gave the welcome speech, followed by the tantalizing words from Brahmacharini Sethuji. The formal lamp lighting ceremony announcing the Inauguration was done by Bri Bhavyamrita Chaitanya ji which was followed by a speech which gave an insight to students for the requirement of spirituality in their life. Manikantan Sir  also talked to them and gave them guidance as to the functioning of Ayudh.

The students presented Bri Bhavyamrita Chaitanya with the action plan for the activities of Ayudh for the coming 6 months. It was then announced formally to all the members.

Students also presented various cultural programmes before the esteemed guests. Sreya of class VIII C recited the “Bhhomi Geetham”. There was some bhajans which was also sung by the students. Students of class X and IX also presented a street play which depicted the functioning and the importance of Ayudh in this generation and generations to come.

The ceremony came to an end with felicitation by Mrs. Ambujakshi Amma, vote of thanks by Mrs Prathighna Krishnan and Shanti Manthram recited by all. Prasadam was distributed to all present.
