AMMA always reminds us, “When humanity serves nature, nature will also serve humanity. When we serve animals and plants, they too will serve us in return”. “There is an underlying order to everything in nature. There is a place for every creature in creation. The forest, the river and the mountain, all have their dharma (natural duty). Our nature has provided a beautiful place for all living beings”.
Our school celebrated World Environment Day in a magnificent way during the school assembly. The Principal and Vice-Principal welcomed our guest for the day, Sri. Harikrishnan V.K., Forest Range Officer, Vadasserikara, Ranni. He gave us his message through his speech and a poem written by Smt. Sugatha Kumari. Our students Sreelekshmi P. Kumar and Sisira Haridas delivered speeches in both Malayalam and English. Our school choir sang a group song related to Nature. After this, our guest distributed saplings to the students. He then planted a sapling in our school compound chanting “Aum Amriteswaryai Namah”.
