Shri Krishna Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Shri Krishna was born on the day of Ashtami in Rohini Nakshatra. The festival is also known as Gokulashtami and Shri Krishna Jayanti.
We celebrated Janmashtami on September 4, 2023. The students of KG and classes I to IV came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. They participated in various events and rallies. Students presented group songs, uriyadi (pot breaking) and fascinating dance performances. Teachers also performed various events. The splendidly colourful program was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
