NATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATIONS

Amma says, “Today’s youth are the pillars of tomorrow’s world. The young have the potential to make great change in the world. We should channel their energy towards a good cause.” 

Every year on January 12th, India commemorates National Youth Day. The day is observed to commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, one of the greatest philosophers and spiritual leaders. The theme of the day was “Arise, Awake and Realize the Power You Hold”.

A special speech was conducted in the morning assembly by Arjit of Class VIII, a poem was recited by Patmaja of Class VIII and Akhilesh Krishna of Class VII dressed up as Swami Vivekananda. Students of classes V to VIII made placards and posters. The programme was organized by the Social Science and Malayalam departments.
